2014 – NBA Spread Games Finals

Well, The final two have arrived and are packing their bags for San Antonio and Game 1 on Thursday.

Sean, going into the Conference Finals with both teams remaining could not keep up with either the Heat or Spurs and eventually caved in 6 both on both sides. Nate and the Spurs will meet Krack and the Heat starting Thursday for what should be a very interesting finals. As Lebron and the Heat try to complete the three-peat, Krack and Nate will be looking a little closer at the scores and spread before each game.

It is Monday as I am writing this and the early line for the Thursday game is San Antonio -4. They are at home.

And then there were three. Sean advances both of his teams, narrowly beating Bambi with a +0.5 tiebreaker to steal the Pacers and take on Krack and the Heat. The only steal of the round. Nate and the Spurs handily take care of Staudt and the Blazers, while Krack edges Nate’s Nets by 1 game. The top 4 teams in the NBA remain.

If Sean ends up winning both of his conference finals series’ that will be the second year in a row (and this is only the second year running) that the same owner will face himself in the Championship. Last year, I did it by starting with the Warriors and Pacers and stealing my way to owning the Heat and Spurs in the finals.

2014 NBA Spread Games – Picks and First Round

So, the rules will be the same from 2013 in terms on winning and moving on. I ended up playing myself last year in the Ship after a post pick trade with Sean for the Warriors. He ended up with the Grizz. The only change this year was the draft format.

Anyways, all of the rules will be from
Idea: NBA Playoffs. Spread Game. The only thing that I left out was the spreads. I will take them daily from sportsbook. I will take them 2 hours before the first game, so tomorrow (Saturday) I will take the lines at 10:30 AM (The first game is at 12:30 with the Nets and Raptors). Also, remember if a Spread line is a whole number, a push goes in favor of the Away team. So, one example… if a spread is 7 and it is a push the person who has the away team gets the win.

The second round all finished up. 3 people went in with two teams left and only 1 came out at all. Staudt advances with both the Warriors covering (taking the Spurs) and the Pacers. Sean and Bambi both move along against Walt’s Thunder and Bulls with the Grizz and Heat respectively. As usual I will update as often as possible.

UPDATE: STAUDT wins both Series in the East and West, therefore taking the Ship. No need to update the lines for that.

So, just like the March Madness I put all teams and all 8 names in and picked them out in any order. I made three columns. One for names, East, and West. Names and West Column fill down, East fills up. Once all things are picked we are set. You can watch the video of the picks or just trust me and skip it. Anyways, all of the rules will be from
Idea: NBA Playoffs. Spread Game. The only thing that I left out was the spreads. I will take them daily from sportsbook. I will take them 2 hours before the first game, so today (Saturday) I took the lines at 1 since the first game is at 3. First game Sunday is at 1, so I will grab the spreads at 11AM. Also, remember if a Spread line is a whole number, a push goes in favor of the Away team. So, today… The Spread for Boston/Knicks is 7. If it is a push the person who has the away team gets the win.
